Yana Fortep

Hi! My name is Yana. I am a singer and a songwriter originally from Russia. I was a leader of 5 different music bands where I sang in different styles, I was releasing hits on major labels, I was touring in Russia and Europe. In 2013 I left everything because of LOVE and moved to Hong Kong.

This is my music from my “past life” with great musicians and producers from all over the world. I love many many styles of music and art in all its forms, so I don't stick to just jazz or pop or house. I follow my heart and intuition, singing in all styles, collaborating with different musicians.

This first song was  recorded at the legendary studio Melodia in 2013 which is located in 18th century Lutheran Church of Saint Ekaterina in Saint Petersburg ( Russia) with famous jazz pianist Andrei Kondakov, great bass player Andrei Svetlov and amazing drummer Piotr Miheev. This song has an interesting story and a lot of interpretations. One of them you can see below. 

The second, third and forth songs were written in 2005 with genius musician Alexander Alexeev who did all the arrangements, great bass player Boris Majorov, brilliant saxoponist Konstantin Koleshonok and excellent trumpet player Eugene Sokolov, romantic guitar player Kirill Koleshonok, sensitive drummer, my brother -Dima Swartz. Nikolai Homyakov played on bass last 7 years and thank you Kolya for being so patient and dedicated!  We were the amazing band called Fushi ( "long life" in Japanese). We became famous in Saint Petersburg and in Russia. We performed at festivals and won several competitions. We loved each other and shared that love with the audience. Thank you guys for that!

Next 3 songs were made with producer Matisse. That was an interesting collaboration, our songs have got radio rotations and were released on different labels.

Following 2 songs were made with young producers called "Plage". Guys you are so talented and cool !

The newcomer producer Alexi Action and fashion designer Egor Nudgin were so creative with ideas and concept of this new project. Thank you guys for that creativity! 

The next song was work with Moscow producer DJ Romero. 

The Game was created with 18-year old producer Alex Oskin from Moscow and German producer Michael Haase. it was released as a vinyl on the famous label "Club Star" in Germany.
